A Polite Reminder About Safe Driving and Parking Near School

We kindly ask all parents and carers to take extra care when driving and parking in and around the front of the school.

If you are dropping children off for Breakfast Club, please park in a designated bay before letting them out of the car. For everyone’s safety, please do not drop off in the road or pull into the bus bay.

We also ask that reserved and disabled parking bays are kept free for those who are authorised to use them, unless you hold a valid disabled parking permit.

Recently, we have had increasing concerns about driving and parking along Selworthy Road. These concerns have been raised with local councillors and PCSOs, and we are actively working with them to encourage the council to install a pedestrian crossing outside the school. In the meantime, we ask all parents to ensure they are parking and driving safely, respectfully, and legally at all times.

As a school, we encourage children to use active or alternative modes of travel wherever possible. Even if you do need to drive, parking slightly further away and walking the last part of the journey can help reduce congestion and support your child’s daily activity levels.
